RE: Nicotine
Non-smokers might get a buzz until they're used to the nicotine, but if you're a regular smoker then I don't think so.

Hi Jessica -

No, you shouldn't feel high from the nicotine unless your nicotine level is too high. Also, I have heard that some people are having reactions like a sore throat when first using certain e-liquids, but in most if not all of those cases, all report to see the side effects subside once they are used to it, which takes about a week.

If you are getting "high", you might be getting a nicotine overdose so I would definitely suggest stepping down.

RE: Nicotine
My Question is to Lacey Underall.
Hello Lacey. I am considering the Electric Cigarett. Friend just got one for Xmas.
I tried it and the taste and amount of vapor seems good. I usually smoke Marlboro 100's Light.
I saw on a web site that Liquid Nicoteen was available in 8 Mg and even up to 36Mg
????? Sounds high. Does that mean that the liquid in total quantity of Nicoteen of that bottle is that high in Mg content. Surely it is not meant that 8 mg or even 36mg of nicoteen would be the amount in one of the filter attachments for the electric cigarett. Doesn't the average cig contain about 2 Mg of Nicoteen? Also with what I can find on the internet the electric cigarett has propylene glycol in the vaporization process / in the mist that is to be inhaled produced by the atomizer. Another web site says that propylene glocol is a toxin.
(I know that tobacco cigarettes have a lot more toxin to be concerned about comparitively) Is it that the amount in the electric cigarett is so low that it does not matter? I am searching but totally unaware. Any feed back you may have on that wouold be appreciated.

Sincerely, Robert M

Hi Robert,
Sorry for the delay in response... Hope the New Year is going well thus far!

Okay easy questions first: Propylene Glycol is relatively safe for you and can be found in household goods like toothpaste, foods, personal lubricants, and the list goes on. There are questions that can't be answered until test are done on whether heating up Propylene Glycol is safe. However, as they are found in foods that are heated... my guess is as good as yours and when you compare what is in the nicotine cartridge vs a real cigarette, the answer is obvious... If a smoke is definitely bad and a nicotine cartridge may be bad ??? I have chosen that the e-cig is a safer bet even though it is untested. But that's my personal choice.

As far as nicotine: Every brand, level etc is different. However, as an average, a cigarette is equal to 1.1mg nicotine. So in a pack of smokes, you will have on average 22mg. One atomized cartridge can be sucked about 100 times, equivalent to 7 cigarettes. The nicotine content is lower than an ordinary cigarette, but has the same potency because all of the "fillers" are absent. Our nicotine cartridges are High (6.5mg), Med (5.0mg), Low (4.0mg) and No (0mg).

Here is my suggestion to you:

If you smoke Marlboro Lights, start with a low or medium nicotine cartridge and see how you like it. I smoke Parliament lights which are slightly stronger than Marlboro Lights and I find that the Medium does me just fine. You can go with higher nicotine content and just smoke less. As a smoker, you will know when you have had enough nicotine or not. You will also find that with the convenience of being able to smoke when and where you want, your "nic fits" will begin to subside and you won't require smoking so much.

As far as a 100 vs a regular sized smoke, we offer a longer style and a shorter style. The mini electronic cigarette is just slightly longer than a regular cigarette and the regular electronic cigarette is about the size of a pen. The regular is popular because the battery lasts a bit longer as do the cartridges. However, I feel like Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's", so I stick to the mini.

I hope this helped. If it didn't please feel free to ask more questions. I will do my best to answer. If you are interested, when you purchase our mini e-cig, it does come with 5 cartridges including a variety of the high, medium, and low... so you can get a feel for where you fit. E-cigs are just like real smokes in that one size does not fit all so you have to find your "brand". My link is located in my signature so feel free to come and read some more... and ask questions if you need too!

Finally: Two links for your viewing pleasure:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tobacco - Scroll down to the curing section. This entry is extremely informative and I reference it often. (cancerous stuff in smokes)
