The e-cigarette: not just for quitting smoking

One misconception people is that the famous e-cigarette is purely a quit smoking aid.

However, it is worth remembering that not all smokers want to stop. And in a free country, where smokers are no longer damaging other people's health by smoking in public places, why should they?

So back to the e-cigarette.

When we first started testing the e-cigarette, we handed it out to friends who smoked.

One enthusiast was my mate Rob. In fact, he can still be seen puffing away on his mini-cigarette now. However, he used not as an aid to giving up smoking - he continues to smoke his real cigarette.

He also enjoys being able to smoke in the pub and the office. But what he particularly likes is when someone comes up to him in one of these places and points out to him that he is not allowed to smoke. Which is when he points out that it is not a real cigarette, produces no smoke (that's vapour coming out of the end, not smoke) and is completely legal.
